    The Commission is an independent public body under the auspices of the Department of Transport. The principal function of the Commission is in the area of price regulation at Dublin Airport and Aviation Terminal Services Charges at Dublin, Cork and Shannon Airports.

  • Airport Flying Club (1448)
    The Airport Flying Club are a non-profit, non-commercial flying club based at Weston Airport, Co. Kildare, Ireland. They were formed in 1975 and based at Dublin airport until October 2008 when General Aviation ceased to exist at that location.

  • Connaught Aero Club (1206)
    Connaught Aero Club operate a Registered Training Facility (RTF) at Ireland West Airport "Knock" where they carry out Fixed Wing Training to P.P.L standard. The Airport is situated close to Charlestown in Co. Mayo and is Ireland's fourth international airport
  • Galway Flying Club (1461)
    The Galway Flying Club, resident at Galway Airport, is today a successful and vibrant voluntary club that provides excellent facilities for its members and encourages the next generation of enthusiasts to take up aeroplane flying as a leisure activity.
  • Irish Aero Sports (1150)
    Irish Aero Sports based at Kilkenny Airfield offer training to PPL(M) level on the both the 3-Axis Samba and flex wing microlights. Tailwheel conversions are also available on their Citabria.
  • Irish Sport Rotorcraft Club (790)
    The Irish Sport Rotorcraft Club is Ireland's first gyro flight training establishment. Based in Limetree airfield, they operate a brand new ELA-07 two seat tandem gyro.
  • Ormand Flying Club (1373)
    The Ormand Flying Club are based at Birr Airfield in Co. Offaly. They offer fixed wing training to PPL(A) and PPL(M) standard. They regularly hold fly-ins throughout the year.
  • Recreational Flying Club (43)
    The Recreational Flying Club based at Kilkenny Airfield (EIKK) offers PPL(A) training on its TB9 Tampico EI-LEM and SF25C Motorfalke D-KIAH. Club aircraft are of course also available to members holding a PPL.
  • Sligo Aeronautical Club (1162)
    Sligo Aeronautical Club Ltd. - formerly Sligo Aero Club Ltd. - are based at Sligo Airport and have been in existence for 32 years. They provide instruction to PPL level using a Cessna 152 & Cessna 172.

  • Trim Flying Club (1766)
    Trim Flying Club operates from Trim Airfield (EITM),Ireland, situated in the heart of the Boyne valley of Meath about 15 minutes flying time from the east coast, Dublin and Weston. They operate two Cessna 172's for PPL training and member hire.
  • Ultraflight (1234)
    Based at Abbeyshrule Airport, Ultraflight Flight Club Training Ltd is the latest innovation in recreational flying. Ultraflight is an approved Registered Training Facility (RTF), the first one in Ireland to be approved by the Irish Aviation Authority to train students in microlight aircraft.

  • Atlantic Flight Centre (1260)
    Founded in 1995 Atlantic Flight Centre is based at Cork Airport and operates a fleet of Cessna, Grob and Piper aircraft. Atlantic provide training to fATPL level.
  • Blue-Star Helicopters (1165)
    Blue Star Helicopters was formed in July 2003 as Cork’s only helicopter pilot training facility. The provide PPL, CPL and Type Rating training on their R22 and R44 helicopters.
  • Eirecopter (1159)
    EireCopter Helicopters started in 1990 as a registered flight training facility based at Weston Airport. They have recently taken over Bluestar Helicopters in Cork and continue to operate from both Weston and Cork Airports.
  • European Helicopter Academy (1633)
    European Helicopter Academy is a nationally accredited FTO based at Weston. They train to CPL level in their fleet of Schweizer and Robinson helicopters.
  • Executive Helicopters (1145)
    Founded in 1998, Executive Helicopters is one of Irelands most successful helicopter companies. In 2007 they opened a new 15,000 sq ft Hangar facility in Galway Airport. They are also the sales agent for the Robinson Helicopters, the world's leading producer of civil helicopters.

    Based in the beautiful County of Fermanagh, the Fermanagh Flight Centre offer PPL, IMC and Night Ratings from Enniskillen aerodrome.
  • Ireland West Aviation (1120)
    Ireland West Aviation is a helicopter school based at Ireland West Airport Knock. They provide training to PPL level in Robinson R44 helicopter.
  • National Flight Centre (1184)
    National Flight Centre is Ireland's biggest Flight Training Organisation and is based at Weston Airport. They have a fleet of Cessna 150/152's, Cessna 172, Piper Cubs and a Beechcraft Duchess. They can provide training to fATPL level.
  • Pathfinders (1027)
    Pathfinders are a Type Rating Training Organisation (TRTO) that provide Type Ratings and MCC courses. Based at Dublin Airport they provide training on a Boeing 737-200 simulator.
  • Simtech Aviation (1334)
    Simtech is a JAR TRTO approved training organisation providing a range of training services to airline personnel and to career pilots and simulator engineers. They have recently opened a state of the art simulator centre in the Dublin Airport Logistics park.

    Shannon Flight Sim Centre offers a range of familiarisation and training sessions for individual Commercial Pilots, Flight Schools, Aircraft Maintenance and Air Traffic Control training organisations.

  • National Aeroclub of Ireland (1076)
    The National Aero Club is the representative body for all air sports in Ireland and is affiliated to the FAI (Fédération Aéronautique Internationale) the world air sports federation. The National Aero Club oversees the participation of Irish aviators at World and European championships and validates record attempts on behalf of the FAI.
  • Irish Ballooning Association (1000)
    The Irish Ballooning Association is affiliated to the National Aero Club of Ireland, the FAI and the Commission Internationale d'Aerostation which is the international governing body of ballooning. As the representative body for hot air ballooning in Ireland the IBA handles the selection process for International competitions and the supervises the National Ballooning Championship.
  • Irish Gliding and Soaring Association (1047)
    The Irish Gliding and Soaring Association (IGSA) is the National Governing Body for Gliding in the Republic of Ireland. It manages gliding in conjunction with the Irish Aviation Authority. The IGSA is affiliated to National Aero Club of Ireland, European Gliding Union and the FAI.
  • Irish Hang Gliding & Para Gliding Association (1101)
    The IHPA is the National Association for the sports of Hang Gliding, Paragliding, Paramotoring and Powered Hang Gliding in Ireland. They were founded in 1974 as the Irish Hang Gliding Association and later expanded to include the newer sports of paragliding and foot-launched powered aviation.
  • Model Aeronautics Council of Ireland (1479)
    MACI is the largest aviation association in Ireland, representing a membership of almost 1,000 from every walk of life, income level and age group. MACI is a self-supporting, non-profit organisation whose purpose is to promote development of model aviation as a recognised sport and worthwhile recreation activity.

    The National Microlight Association of Ireland (NMAI) is the representing body for microlights in Ireland. Their aim is to promote the sport of Microlight Flying.

    The PAI is the National Representative Body for Sport Parachuting in Ireland.
  • PC Pilots Ireland (1049)
    Based in Ireland's capital city Dublin, PC Pilots Ireland was started in 1993 by two friends, Terry McGee and Ian Broni who wanted to share their hobby with other Flight Sim users. They hold regular 'fly-ins' throughout the year where members meet up and 'fly' together.

    VATeir is the Irish division of VATSIM, which is an online flying network where virtual pilots can fly online with hundreds of other pilots while receiving Air Traffic Control from virtual ATC, many of which are real world pilots and Air Traffic Controllers themselves. VATeir itself provides training for virtual ATC, as well as providing resources for virtual pilots flying in Irish airspace, and is the largest flightsimming community in Ireland.
