      The Ormand Flying Club are based at Birr Airfield in Co. Offaly. They offer fixed wing training to PPL(A) and PPL(M) standard. They regularly hold fly-ins throughout the year.

      European Helicopter Academy is a nationally accredited FTO based at Weston. They train to CPL level in their fleet of Schweizer and Robinson helicopters.

      Pathfinders are a Type Rating Training Organisation (TRTO) that provide Type Ratings and MCC courses. Based at Dublin Airport they provide training on a Boeing 737-200 simulator.

      Simtech is a JAR TRTO approved training organisation providing a range of training services to airline personnel and to career pilots and simulator engineers. They have recently opened a state of the art simulator centre in the Dublin Airport Logistics park.

    • National Aeroclub of IrelandNational Aeroclub of Ireland (1076)
      The National Aero Club is the representative body for all air sports in Ireland and is affiliated to the FAI (Fédération Aéronautique Internationale) the world air sports federation. The National Aero Club oversees the participation of Irish aviators at World and European championships and validates record attempts on behalf of the FAI.

      The Irish Ballooning Association is affiliated to the National Aero Club of Ireland, the FAI and the Commission Internationale d'Aerostation which is the international governing body of ballooning. As the representative body for hot air ballooning in Ireland the IBA handles the selection process for International competitions and the supervises the National Ballooning Championship.

      The Irish Gliding and Soaring Association (IGSA) is the National Governing Body for Gliding in the Republic of Ireland. It manages gliding in conjunction with the Irish Aviation Authority. The IGSA is affiliated to National Aero Club of Ireland, European Gliding Union and the FAI.

      The IHPA is the National Association for the sports of Hang Gliding, Paragliding, Paramotoring and Powered Hang Gliding in Ireland. They were founded in 1974 as the Irish Hang Gliding Association and later expanded to include the newer sports of paragliding and foot-launched powered aviation.

      MACI is the largest aviation association in Ireland, representing a membership of almost 1,000 from every walk of life, income level and age group.       Based in Ireland's capital city Dublin, PC Pilots Ireland was started in 1993 by two friends, Terry McGee and Ian Broni who wanted to share their hobby with other Flight Sim users. They hold regular 'fly-ins' throughout the year where members meet up and 'fly' together.
