Garmin Data CardGuys,
Anyone got a spare Garmin Data Card to suit a GPSMAP 296, 32Mb or bigger. Trying to bring an old unit back to life ![]() A good landing is one you can walk away from, a great landing is one where you can use the aircraft again.
Re: Garmin Data CardI Just bought one for a 296.
www.ebay.co.uk has a few listed..... search garmin data card. About 30 to 40 quid. Jon
Re: Garmin Data CardHi from john.If your 296 wont come to life a data card wont help. The 296 has a small internal battery that will only charge when you connect to external power, this can sometimes be the problem.Garmin do a excellent repair/exchange.I had one done last year at a cost or 148 pounds including postage. It came back with the later better screen as on the 496 and updated database and maps.john
