Revalidating PPL SEP RatingI have a CAA SEP rating which I am looking to renew via the flight hours. E.g 12 hours in last 12 months, 6 PIC and one with an instructor. I have all this complete.
Do I fill out http://www.caa.co.uk/application.aspx?catid=33&pagetype=65&appid=11&mode=detail&id=5176 and then get an examiner to sign it? Would I be able to pop into Weston or what would be the best way to track down an examiner?
Re: Revalidating PPL SEP RatingCurrently in the same position and I am completing SRG1119B and getiing the examiner to complete SRG2199 - all on CAA website. Then don't forget they are also looking for copy of examiners authorisation and a certified copy of your rating page. They also have deferred the requirement for a non UK examiner to get a briefing from the CAA prior to signing the rating page until 16 November so a date to bear in mind!!
Re: Revalidating PPL SEP RatingI've never had a problem sending in the IAA form to the CAA either. Your local flying club will know who can fill in that form for you, just present them your logbook showing your 12 hours in last 12 months, 6 PIC and one with an instructor etc. and you can send in the form yourself. Best do it early though, make sure you don't leave it until the last minute like everyone else!
Re: Revalidating PPL SEP Rating
If you only need 6 PIC and the 1 with the instructor what are the other five ment to be ? i always went with 11 PIC and 1 instructor ! n550xl make left traffic report midfield downwind cleard for takeoff runway 08
