Sale of Dauphin/GazellesI see where the helis sold for 517,000 euro. Was there a break down given of what went for what price. Seems there was a bargin got for the Gazelle anyway. If the ALO's go for the tender i wonder what they'll fetch.
mav
they got the whole lot all the daups, parts and tools fantasticly great deal they should have 1 flying by now in the states i will call him and get a update the gazelle was a good deal too ex 241 [HA-LFQ] gazelle should be back in ireland next week at the punchetown show for a couple of days then off to the expo at wycomb airpark uk .
There's a couple of pics on their website, (rotor leasing). One of them is after being re-sprayed. They'll definitley make their money back on them so.
Pity i didn't have a couple of hundred thousand lying around, think the gazelle is a lovely machine. Will the ALO's go up for tender, i wonder would they be worth trying to get.
the gazelle is a fantastic helicopter the daup is good but costs a shed load in fuel alone and also it is possibly the only place you could get it registerd is in the states on experimental cat
and you cant fly experimental outside the states in eu countries
My point is that what was wrong with these aircraft that the're worth so little after a relatively short lifespan? I'm assuming that their maintenance was first class, therefore the original spec must have been odd? You'd pay more for a similar aged B212.
It just sounds like another instance of very bad value for johnny taxpayer?
