This is not the original aircraft used by Aer Lingus, it is a replica that wears the same registration as the original. EI-ABI 1, was shot down over Wales during World War II while operating for another airline. Change of owner from Aer Lingus to Aer Lingus Charitable Foundation in February 2011.
